Overview

Louis Vuitton, the iconic fashion and accessories house under global luxury conglomerate LVMH, has returned as the title partner of the next America's Cup. The 37th iteration of the prestigious sailing competition, often likened to the Formula 1 of the maritime world, is slated to take place from August 22 to October 27, 2024, in Barcelona, Spain.

Louis Vuitton has had a significant presence in America's Cup races across various global locations, including the United States, Australia, Bermuda, Hong Kong, Dubai, France, and Spain. With a shared history that traces back to the mid-19th century, both the America’s Cup, established in 1851, and Louis Vuitton, founded in 1854, have run parallel courses for over a century. In 1983, these parallel paths converged when Louis Vuitton introduced a dedicated trophy for a showdown between the Defender of the competition and the ‘Challengers’. Over the years, Louis Vuitton consistently enhanced the America’s Cup's visibility and status.

“It’s with an immense sense of pride that we return to this historical competition as Title Partner. Port Vell of Barcelona will be the setting for a display of elegance and power, where teams will compete with boldness, talent and mastery on increasingly innovative yachts. These values equally reflect the spirit of Louis Vuitton and its artisans,” states Pietro Beccari, President and Chief Executive Officer of Louis Vuitton.

Barack Ferrazzano served as lead counsel to Louis Vuitton. The team was led by partners Daniel L. Dominguez and Kait E. Kelly and associate Puja O. Narain.
