Tom is an internationally recognized litigator and partner in the Intellectual Property Group. He litigates trademark and false advertising disputes on behalf of a number of the world's largest and most sophisticated brands. He also manages prosecution and maintenance of trademark portfolios. He has extensive experience representing clients in all aspects of trademark law, including trade dress. He represents clients before federal district and appellate courts, and in proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Tom is well-versed in competitor false advertising disputes under the Lanham Act. He is the author of False Advertising and the Lanham Act, published by Lexis-Nexis and updated annually.
