Overview

Sherry serves as Chief Operating Officer at Barack Ferrazzano, focused on managing the firm’s day-to-day operations. She is an empathetic and experienced leader, skilled at building an effective team while imbedding shared values of client service, collaboration, and creative problem-solving.

Sherry collaborates with firm leaders to distill complex issues and identify and execute on opportunities to drive strategic vision and growth. She manages the firm’s administrative departments, including conflicts, facilities management, human resources, marketing and business development, research and library, retirement benefits, and technology and cybersecurity. 

Prior to joining the firm, Sherry was the Director of Talent Management for North America at Baker McKenzie, where she served as a strategic resource to senior leadership on human resources and talent initiatives, best practices, and programs, with a particular focus on DEI and retention. Sherry also previously served as the Chief Operating Officer of Goldberg Kohn, where she spent more than 18 years in various positions spanning human resources and administration.

Sherry graduated from Indiana University with a BS in Business and received a Masters in Human Resources from Loyola University of Chicago. Outside the office, Sherry is a member of the Opportunity Knocks Board where she supports the mission of providing dynamic, person-centered and community based programming for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She also enjoys photography, scuba diving, and traveling with her husband to remote destinations.
