Overview
Barack Ferrazzano is pleased to announce the addition of Kyle Davis Oakes to the firm’s Litigation Group.
As an associate in Barack Ferrazzano’s Litigation Group, Kyle represents clients in the luxury brand and motor vehicle industries and concentrates his practice on a wide range of complex litigation matters, including motor vehicle franchise disputes, employment litigation, cases involving breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duties, and business torts, and antitrust and competition matters. Before joining Barack Ferrazzano, Kyle was a law clerk for the Honorable Judge Gerald B. Tjoflat of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. During law school, Kyle gained valuable litigation experience at the Washington University School of Law Appellate Clinic, where he was part of a team that was responsible for handling all aspects of their client’s appeal before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Prior to attending law school, Kyle spent more than a decade as a teacher, developing strong communication and critical-thinking skills that translate seamlessly to his legal work.
"We are pleased to welcome Kyle Davis Oakes back to the firm upon his return to Chicago. During his time with us, Kyle made a strong impression through his contributions to our Litigation Group and our clients on a range of commercial litigation matters, and we were sorry to see him leave when he relocated out of state. Since then, he has broadened his skill set in ways that will only enhance his ability to help our clients. His experience at two law firms, along with clerking on the Eleventh Circuit, combines to make him a valued member of our team." — Maile Hitomi Solís, Co-Chair, Litigation Group
Litigation Group
Barack Ferrazzano’s Litigation Group attorneys have been selected by some of the world’s most prominent companies to represent them in their most significant legal disputes. Our firm has assembled a group of highly skilled trial lawyers—seasoned partners and well-trained associates—who represent clients both forcefully and efficiently. Unlike some litigators, who spend years engaging in expensive discovery only to recommend settlement on the eve of trial, we are always ready to try cases when necessary but strive to achieve business resolutions early and economically when appropriate.
