Overview

TAG Heuer, a Swiss luxury watchmaker that designs, manufactures, and markets watches and fashion accessories, has signed Australian actor Jacob Elordi as its newest ambassador for its Monaco watch.

Introduced in 1969, the square-shaped chronograph timepiece became world-renowned in its own right when it appeared on the wrist of Steve McQueen, who wore it in the 1971 racing film "Le Mans." The recent edition takes inspiration from the 1970s Monaco yet launches into the modern era through original materials and incorporating the in-house Heuer 02 movement.

“The TAG Heuer Monaco was an instant design classic when it launched in 1969, and it only gets better with each new iteration – constantly improved, but its iconic looks never altered. There’s no other timepiece that is just as perfect for black-tie galas as it is for high-octane action,” notes Elordi.

Tag Heuer Chief Executive Officer Frédéric Arnault said in a statement about appointing the actor as a brand ambassador, “Elordi is a standout star of a new generation, an artist who is unafraid to take risks [by choosing] roles that challenge both himself and the audience.”

BFKN served as lead counsel to Tag Heuer. Barack Ferrazzano’s team was led by Corporate & Securities Group partner Daniel L. Dominguez and associate Kait E. Kelly.
