Overview
The BFKN Financial Institutions Group served as legal counsel to First Resource Bank ("First Resource"), a subsidiary of Ameri Financial Group Inc., in the acquisition of Lake Area Bank, a subsidiary of Waseca Bancshares, Inc. Under the merger agreement, Lake Area Bank will merge into First Resource Bank, and the Lake Area branches in Lindstrom and Forest Lake, Minn. will become branches of First Resource Bank.
BFKN’s legal team was led by partner Joseph T. Ceithaml. Employment matters were handled by partner Andrew K. Strimaitis with assistance from associate Alex Freund.
