Barack Ferrazzano partner and Regulatory Section Leader of the Firm’s Financial Institutions Group John M. Geiringer was a recent contributor to "Beyond Flash Points - Creating Sustainable Public-Private Partnerships in Chicago" which is part of the Public Safety Series published by Business Executives for National Security (BENS).
BENS began building public-private partnerships in the early 2000s to help prepare for and respond to catastrophic events. Beginning in early 2016, BENS members in Chicago, including John, partnered with the Chicago Police Department, the FBI Chicago field office, and the Crime Prevention and Information Center to develop the tools that may be used to sustain, and perhaps expand, public-private interaction between such events. According to BENS, Beyond Flash Points offers a compelling, value-driven business case for public-private partnerships and provides recommendations to incentivize, communicate, and manage interactions between law enforcement and local business communities.
