On April 14, 2023, BFKN Financial Institutions Group partner and Regulatory Section Leader John M. Geiringer hosted a Business Executives for National Security (BENS) meeting featuring Major General Rich Neely, Adjutant General of the Illinois National Guard (ILNG). The meeting included other highly experienced professionals in the national security arena, representing various organizations in the private and public sectors.

Major General Neely discussed the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and the history of the ILNG as it celebrates its 300th anniversary. John is a member of the Chicago chapter of BENS and supports many of its local and nationwide initiatives.

About Major General Rich Neely

Major General Richard R. Neely is the 40th Adjutant General of the State of Illinois and serves as the Director of the Illinois Department of Military Affairs. General Neely is the Commander for both the Illinois Army and Air National Guard where he is responsible for operations and oversees approximately 13,000 military members and 2,200 full-time military/federal employees and 230 civilian state employees.
