On Thursday February 11, Barack Ferrazzano Litigation Group partner Steven J. Yatvin presented on Responding to Subpoenas, Garnishment Orders, and Citations to Discover Assets during a webinar with the Illinois Bankers Association. This session reviewed common legal orders that financial institutions must address on a day-to-day basis. Including subpoenas for documents, information, or testimony, garnishment orders, and citations to discover assets. The presentation discussed the obligations on your financial institution, the risks for failure to comply, issues to be aware of in complying (including rules governing SARs), and when your institution should consider involving counsel.
