On Thursday January 7, Barack Ferrazzano Financial Institutions Group partner and Regulatory section leader John M. Geiringer and Chief Operating Officer of Zero Trafficking Samuel Curet joined Founder & President Bazzel Baz and his team at The Association for the Recovery of Children (ARC) to discuss Bank Secrecy Act/anti-money laundering requirements for the financial industry, and how the industry can better identify and report human smuggling and human trafficking activity to support local, state, and federal law enforcement efforts.

John Geiringer is a nationally recognized banking attorney who advises financial institutions on regulatory, governance, and investigative matters. John regularly provides focused training sessions to boards and management on a wide range of legal and risk management topics.

Bazzel Baz is known as “the Patron Saint for Missing Kids.” He is a former CIA Intelligence Special Operations Group Paramilitary Case Officer, recipient of the Intelligence Commendation Medal, former counter-terrorism officer in the United States Marine Corps and a graduate of The Citadel. He currently contracts as a “life guarantor” for people entering high threat environments. In 1993 Baz founded the Association for the Recovery of Children (ARC), an organization comprised of former and active intelligence, military, and law enforcement personnel dedicated to the recovery of missing and exploited American children in foreign and domestic locations. 

Formerly an active duty Marine Intelligence Officer and international real estate corporate attorney, Samuel Curet has extensive experience in all source intelligence analysis, private equity compliance, and intelligence training. Samuel currently serves as COO of Zero Trafficking, an intelligence technology startup founded to fight human trafficking by hunting traffickers online.

The Association for the Recovery of Children is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization comprised of former and active intelligence officers (CIA), military special operators and law enforcement officers who rescue missing, abducted and trafficked American children being held in the US or overseas. ARC’s all-encompassing child recovery program comes at no cost to the custodial parent(s).
