Barack Ferrazzano Intellectual Property Group co-chair and partner Scott Slavick served as a guest speaker at the Indiana University Maurer School of Law’s “IP Clinician’s Workshop” during its annual 2020 IP Clinicians Conference. Scott, who was previously a Supervising Attorney for the University of Arizona’s IP Clinic, was a member of the Best Practices in Trademark Filing Panel along with a group of esteemed clinicians and practitioners. The panel discussed such pressing issues as trademark searching, strategies for responding to office actions, and practice before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB). The panel generated a healthy discussion over best-practices and tips of the trade to help their clients achieve the best possible outcomes in the most cost effective manner possible.
