Regulators and even the credit bureaus are scrutinizing data sources and their data — with legal, compliance and reputation risks looming. What controls can help us manage FCRA risks, how should customer disputes be handled (particularly frivolous disputes), how can we ensure the accuracy and integrity of reported information, how should we be using credit information, what information should we be reporting and not reporting, and how should those processes be documented? This session will explore these and other FCRA questions and issues, including the CFPB’s expectations, litigation trends, and recent changes — and their implications for data providers.
