Barack Ferrazzano congratulates Real Estate and Fashion, Luxury & Retail partner Julie Rademaker, as a newly elected member of the Knox College Board of Trustees. The board welcomed five new members, all Knox College alumni, on July 1, 2019. Julie will serve on the board as a general trustee.
Julie graduated magna cum laude from Knox College with a B.S. in political science and earned her J.D. from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, where she served as the executive editor for the Northwestern University Law Review. Currently, she serves on the advisory board of EDSTAR, Inc., and is a member of the Knox College President's Circle.
Julie’s work encompasses a broad range of commercial real estate matters, including development, leasing, financing, property sales and acquisitions, and joint ventures. She has extensive experience in real estate development, lease negotiation and documentation, and commercial real estate financing. Julie has been consistently recognized by Leading Lawyers Network, as a top Illinois real estate lawyer, named one of the Top 100 Leading Women Real Estate-Related Lawyers in 2019.
The Board of Trustees is an instrumental component of the leadership at Knox College, working alongside Knox's president, countless administrators, faculty, and staff to uphold the college's mission and to plan and implement its long-term academic, financial, and sustainability initiatives. Julie’s extensive legal skills and Knox College background will greatly benefit the Board's objectives and Knox student body.
