Overview

As BFKN’s Network Manager, Jim Kamp has spent more than 25 years designing, implementing, and supporting the internal technology needs of the firm.

Jim got started in computers when his parents bought him a ColecoVision Adam in 1983, and his first computer job was as a business-systems programmer and network manager at the construction firm S.A. Healy Company. He is primarily responsible for configuring, troubleshooting, and managing the firm’s servers, networks, routers, switches, and firewalls. He is part of a team that oversees the end-user technology experience for BFKN, helping ensure all applications work seamlessly together.

Jim is passionate about food, and also enjoys bicycling and playing in rock bands. He has a Bachelor of Science in News Editorial Journalism from The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
