Overview

Ian concentrates his practice in commercial litigation, helping clients achieve favorable outcomes throughout all phases of litigation, up to and including trial.

As an associate in Barack Ferrazzano’s Litigation Group, Ian works on a wide range of commercial litigation matters, including luxury brand, automotive, and real estate matters. He has extensive experience in federal courts, state courts, and arbitral forums. In his judicial clerkships, he drafted memoranda, opinions, and orders at the appellate and trial court levels.

Prior to joining the firm, Ian was a Litigation associate in the Chicago office of a multinational law firm, where he worked on complex commercial matters. In that practice, Ian drafted pleadings, motions, and discovery; took depositions; and worked on several trials and preliminary injunction hearings. After completing law school, Ian served as a judicial clerk for the Hon. Albert Diaz on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and for the Hon. Andrea R. Wood on the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
