Overview

BFKN is pleased to announce the addition of Jill Doherty to the Litigation Group.

Jill has substantial experience working on high-stakes securities class actions, business disputes, and antitrust cases. She is adept at drafting crucial motions and pleadings in both federal and state court, and her experience extends to conducting thorough legal research, managing document reviews, and coordinating complex litigation strategies. Prior to joining BFKN, Jill served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Troy Nunley in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California. Before that, Jill was an associate at Weil, Gotshal & Manges in their securities litigation group. In addition, Jill has contributed to pro bono projects such as the Innocence Project and the Ukraine War Crimes Initiative with the Public International Law & Policy Group.

"We are excited to have Jill join our talented group of associates and top-notch litigators. Her stellar academic performance and experience as a federal court clerk and at a top New York firm, combined with her professional experience in the insurance industry, make her a valuable addition to our group." — Matthew A. Bills, Co-Chair, Litigation Group

Litigation Group

Our firm has assembled a group of highly skilled trial lawyers – seasoned partners and well-trained associates – who represent clients both forcefully and efficiently. Unlike some litigators, who spend years engaging in expensive discovery only to recommend settlement on the eve of trial, we are always ready to try cases when necessary, but strive to achieve business resolutions early and economically when appropriate.
