BFKN is pleased to announce the addition of Clare E. Fogarty to the Litigation Group.

Clare has experience handling all phases of litigation, including drafting motions, conducting legal research, managing discovery, and negotiating settlements. She has represented clients in contract disputes, employment matters, mass torts, and regulatory investigations. Clare also has experience working on matters involving cybersecurity, bankruptcy, and constitutional law. Prior to joining BFKN, Clare served as a law clerk for U.S. Magistrate Judge Joseph S. Dueker in the Eastern District of Missouri, where she drafted judicial opinions and conducted research on Title VII claims, Section 1983 matters, and Second Amendment issues. Previously, she was a litigation associate at Jones Day, where she managed discovery, drafted motions, and advised clients on complex commercial disputes. While in law school, she served as a judicial extern for U.S. District Judge Ann M. Donnelly in the Eastern District of New York.

"We are pleased to welcome Clare to BFKN and our Litigation group. She brings valuable experience as an associate at a top Chicago firm and federal court clerk to our team of talented litigators." — Matthew A. Bills, Co-Chair, Litigation Group

Litigation Group

Our firm has assembled a group of highly skilled trial lawyers – seasoned partners and well-trained associates – who represent clients both forcefully and efficiently. Unlike some litigators, who spend years engaging in expensive discovery only to recommend settlement on the eve of trial, we are always ready to try cases when necessary but strive to achieve business resolutions early and economically when appropriate.
