Overview
The Barack Ferrazzano Financial Institutions Group acted as legal advisor for Peoples State Bank of Plainview in the signing of a definitive merger agreement with Altura State Bank, announced jointly by the banks on February 8, 2016. The combined entity is expected to have assets of more than $250 million upon the close of the transaction which is expected to be in the third quarter of 2016. Barack Ferrazzano's legal team was lead by Joseph T. Ceithaml and Dennis R. Wendte.
Peoples State Bank of Plainview has five branches serving the Plainview, Elgin and Millville communities in Minnesota and Boyceville and Menomonie in Wisconsin. Altura State Bank serves Altura and its surrounding communities in Minnesota.
