Overview

The new Louis Vuitton Spring-Summer 2020 women’s shoe collection has arrived, mixing classic and futuristic styles; sportswear and savoir-faire; sophistication and boyish edge. Women’s collections artistic director, Nicolas Ghesquière, plays on feminine and masculine attitudes offering a bold, high fashion look and reinventing this season’s star, the loafer. The maison’s style codes are reinforced throughout the line, incorporating monogram flower-shaped heels, an LV circle buckle, and touches of monogram canvas.

Author, blogger, and influencer Leandra Medine Cohen embodies the collection’s boyish femininity, collaborating with Louis Vuitton to showcase some of their key pieces. Founder of independent fashion and lifestyle website Man Repeller, Leandra injects her trademark humor into the fashion industry, earning recognition in TIME’s “25 Best Blogs of 2012,” and in Forbes’s 2012 “Top 30 Under 30” as one of the year's "most influential trendsetters” – a role she continues to fill with her open and curious take on fashion.

The LV TV film “A Mile in Leandra Medine Cohen’s Shoes” follows a day in Leandra’s life as she wears the unique collection of loafers, derbies, sneakers, and more around her native New York City, “Style in the city is like making a sandwich, you start with the most important element – the shoes!”

Barack Ferrazzano handled negotiations for Louis Vuitton, helping to finalize this complementary collaboration. The team was led by Fashion, Luxury & Retail and Corporate & Securities chair Daniel L. Dominguez, with assistance from Kaitlyn E. Kelly.
