Overview

Louis Vuitton's 2020 Pre-Fall lookbook has captured a unique brand of nostalgia. Womenswear Artistic Director Nicolas Ghesquière, in collaboration with American fashion photographer Collier Schorr, tapped into the world of pulp fiction paperbacks to create a "wearable library, " with familiar celebrity faces bringing old-school horror, romance, and sci-fi themed book covers to life.

Jaden Smith, Jennifer Connelly, Billie Lourd, and Sophie Turner were among the 23 celebrities involved in this fashion shoot, which included classic Louis Vuitton accessories and looks blended with retro settings and styles. Each model takes center stage on his or her own unique book cover, complete with kitschy taglines and titles like The Devil's Mansion and Arachno-Mania, bringing as authentic a pulp fiction experience as possible. Louis Vuitton is striving to remind luxury fans that, "fashion is a novel, and the Pre-Fall 2020 collection embarks on a narrative journey where the garments tell their own tales."

Barack Ferrazzano handled negotiations for Louis Vuitton, assisting with the birth of this massive collaboration. The team dedicated to these deals was led by Fashion, Luxury & Retail chair Daniel L. Dominguez, with Fashion, Luxury & Retail Group attorney Kaitlyn E. Kelly coordinating negotiations among the various advisors for the celebrities.
