Keys to Banking Law Seminar

Barack Ferrazzano Financial Institutions Group attorneys are dedicated to staying abreast of regulatory compliance developments impacting the financial services industry and our clients. With in-house bank counsel being asked to address ever-expanding responsibilities regardless of their particular roles in their bank's legal department, our regulatory attorneys have developed a full-day seminar for in-house bank counsel called Keys to Banking Law.

Based on the ABA book, Keys to Banking Law, written by partner Karol K. Sparks with contributions from members of the Firm, this CLE-eligible course will provide in-house counsel with a fundamental understanding of the bank regulatory issues they may encounter during their career, including:

  • Overview of regulatory environment
  • Dealing with supervisory agencies and structure issues
  • Regulatory exams and enforcement actions
  • Enterprise risk management and corporate governance
  • Lending restrictions and affiliate transactions
  • Consumer compliance and AML requirements
  • Litigation issues and attorney-client privilege

Pending CLE Credit

We are applying for 4-6 total hours of CLE.
