Barack Ferrazzano Financial Institutions Group partner and Regulatory Section Leader John Geiringer, along with Craig Steinfeld and Anthony Sylvester, partners at Sherman Wells Sylvester & Stamelman LLP, will present "Fair Lending for Who? Recent Developments in ECOA, FHA, TILA, RESPA and Other Consumer Protection Laws" on May 13, 2016, during the NJ Bankers Conference in Scottsdale, AZ.
Their discussion will center on existing fair lending laws and recent developments affecting lenders. They will provide a brief history and current status of the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, the Fair Housing Act, the recent Truth in Lending Act and Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act Integrated Disclosures and other related laws and the role of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
