Shermin Kruse is IWA's 2018 Woman Extraordinaire

Barack Ferrazzano is pleased to congratulate partner Shermin Kruse who is being honored by the International Women Associates as 2018 Woman Extraordinaire. IWA’s Woman Extraordinaire award celebrates a woman who has made an outstanding contribution to the international arena or is working internationally to advance human rights.

With almost two decades of experience practicing law, Sher is a TEDx speaker, a director of the ACLU of Illinois, co-founder and director of the peace organization, Pasfarda Arts and Culture Exchange, author of the critically acclaimed novel, Butterfly Stitching and a mother of four.

Sher will be honored at the IWA 2018 Woman Extraordinaire Awards Program and Luncheon, Friday, October 19, 2018, at The Standard Club. This ceremony is a chance to honor those whose international humanitarian efforts in their field advance the welfare of women and children and call others to action. Past recipients of this event include Mary Robinson, the first female president of Ireland, Shelia Roche, founder of Bono's $250 million charity RED and Vicki Escarra, Global CEO of Opportunity International, which boasts a staff of 20,000 worldwide.
