Barack Ferrazzano's Hannah Jurowicz Wins Multiple Honors in Rate My Pitch Program
Barack Ferrazzano congratulates litigation attorney Hannah Jurowicz who recently participated in the Chicago Committee's Rate My Pitch program. Hannah won the "Best Individual Pitch" title and was part of the team that won the "Best Team Pitch" title.
“Rate My Pitch provides constructive feedback from partners and in-house counsel on marketing yourself and your firm," Hannah said. “By practicing pitches in front of coaches, large groups, and in-house counsel, you gain valuable insight on how to better address your clients’ needs.” Prior to joining Barack Ferrazzano, Hannah was a legal intern at the Department of Homeland Security and served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Ann Claire Williams in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
In addition to Hannah's participation in the program, part of its framework is to have seasoned member firm partners coach the participants. Barack Ferrazzano Intellectual Property partner Scott Slavick served as one such coach. "I enjoy being part of this program," said Slavick. "It's important for attorneys to learn early in their career about building relationships, and the guidance they receive from both in-house counsel and experienced law firm partners is invaluable."
Rate My Pitch is a professional development program for mid- and senior-level associates that provides instruction and experiential learning for the skills and behaviors required for building successful business relationships. The program culminates with teams making a formal pitch to a real panel of in-house counsel in response to a mock RFQ for legal services. To read more about the program, click here.
