Barack Ferrazzano Financial Institutions Group Regulatory Section Leader and member of Business Executives for National Security (BENS), John Geiringer, hosted a special briefing from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) for members of BENS. 

The guest speaker at the briefing was Dan Payne, Deputy Director of the National Counterintelligence and Security Center, a division of the ODNI, which supports counterintelligence activities designed to protect private sector entities, among others, that are at risk of intelligence collection or cyberattack by their adversaries. Mr. Payne, a career counterintelligence officer at the CIA with more than 30 years of experience, along with an intimate group of BENS members, discussed the critical and evolving issues of insider threats and cyber intrusions for both the public and private sectors.

As Barack Ferrazzano attorneys delve deeper into cyber attacks, threat financing and other evolving dangers to the business community, we will continue our relationship with organizations like BENS to combat the risk to our clients from these threats. John will be the author of a chapter in the upcoming book, Understanding and Combating Terrorist Financing.
