Peoples Bancorp Inc. to Merge with First Midwest Bancorp Inc.
The Barack Ferrazzano Financial Institutions Group acted as legal counsel for Peoples Bancorp Inc., headquartered in Arlington Heights, Illinois, in the merger agreement with First Midwest Bancorp Inc. (NASDAQ: FMBI). By acquiring Peoples' Bank of Arlington Heights, First Midwest continues its expansion into the northwest suburban Chicago markets. Barack Ferrazzano's legal team was led by Dennis R. Wendte and William C. Fay, along with Jacob H. Marshall, Donald L. Norman and Andrew K. Strimaitis.
Peoples Bank operates two banking offices and has approximately $95 million in deposits, and $57 million in loans. Its offices are located in Arlington Heights, a desirable suburban market, and are operated with a solid team of community bankers.
