Strategic Growth Continues for Litigation Group

Barack Ferrazzano is pleased to announce Joshua W. Mahoney has joined the Firm in its Litigation Group. Josh received his B.A. in Political Science, magna cum laude, from Carleton College and his J.D., cum laude, from Cornell Law School. After law school, he was a litigation associate at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where he represented a wide variety of clients in matters involving pharmaceutical products liability, manufacturers' contract disputes, regulatory compliance and insurance. Following his time there, Josh continued his litigation practice as an experienced trial team attorney at Grippo & Elden LLC, and was the Associate Chair of the Electronic Discovery Resource Group, where he helped manage the firm's training and research on e-discovery.

Over the past several months, the Litigation Group has implemented a strategic growth plan to meet the continual increase in client needs, including the promotion of accomplished attorneys Sharon E. Calhoun and Brandon C. Prosansky to the partnership, as well as expanding the number of litigation associates by bringing on five bright young attorneys — Daniel R. Fine, Hannah Y. Jurowicz, Krista N. Nelson, Lia E. Pernell and Michael J.B. Pitt.

Josh has represented clients in numerous high-stakes disputes, such as fraud claims brought by private equity companies and hedge funds, fiduciary duty claims faced by executives and the protection of corporate assets. He also is particularly interested in complex discovery issues, from pre-litigation preservation through production and depositions. Josh has worked closely with forensic experts and IT professionals on state-of-the-art e-discovery challenges.
