Kendo Acquires Bite Beauty

Kendo Holdings, Inc., formerly a private-label product development arm of Sephora now operating as a separate entity, continues its growth and global distribution expansion with the acquisition of Bite Beauty.

Bite Beauty, a natural lip care company operating out of downtown Toronto, focuses not just on creating high performance lipstick but also on a lip product which is healthy enough to eat. With its custom-blending lipstick store, Lip Lab, in New York's SoHo district and an estimated $30 million in retail sales annually, Bite Beauty joins Kendo's growing portfolio of brands, which includes Marc Jacobs Beauty, Kat Von D Beauty, Formula X and Elizabeth and James fragrances.

Kendo's acquisition of Bite Beauty is a continuation of its commitment to acquire and develop new brands with long-term potential, including the acquisition of Ole Henriksen, whose business has doubled in size since being purchased by Kendo in 2011.
