Barack Ferrazzano is pleased to announce Nicholas H. Callahan has rejoined the Firm in its Litigation Group. Previously an attorney with Barack Ferrazzano from 2009-2011, after receiving his J.D., cum laude, from Northwestern University School of Law, Nick went on to become the Chair of the Complex Financial Litigation Group at a large Minneapolis-based law firm before deciding to return to Barack Ferrazzano.

In the last six months, the Litigation Group has executed a strategic growth plan, promoting home-grown attorneys Sharon E. Calhoun and Brandon C. Prosansky to the partnership, as well as almost doubling the number of litigation associates by bringing on five attorneys — Daniel R. Fine, Hannah Y. Jurowicz, Krista N. Nelson, Lia E. Pernell and Michael J.B. Pitt.

Nick's decision to return to Barack Ferrazzano also increases the talent and depth of the Firm's Bank Litigation practice. He represents financial service clients—banks, private equity firms, hedge funds, mortgage companies, other financial institutions, and their directors and officers—in all types of complex disputes. An accomplished trial lawyer, Nick has tried more than 25 cases before jurors, judges and arbitrators, including serving as first-chair in nine jury trials. In addition, Nick has managed multiple cases for Fortune 500 corporations and private investment companies where the claims at issue were in excess of $40 million, and represented many bank directors and officers in disputes and government investigations.
