Barack Ferrazzano Financial Institutions Group Represents MidWestOne in Minneapolis Deal

The Barack Ferrazzano Financial Institutions Group acted as legal counsel for MidWestOne Financial Group in its merger agreement with Central Bancshares, Inc., leading to the merger of Central Bank into MidWestOne. With MidWestOne's 25 branches in Iowa and Central's 20 branches spread through Minnesota, western Wisconsin and Florida, the combined company is expected to have nearly $3 billion in assets, resulting in one of the premier publicly traded financial services companies operating in Iowa and Minnesota. The merger is expected to close during the second quarter of 2015. Barack Ferrazzano's legal team was led by John E. Freechack, Robert M. Fleetwood and Brad A. Kopetsky.
