2011 Bank Director's Bank Executive & Board Compensation Conference (Chicago, IL)
Don Norman and Andrew Strimaitis, members of Barack Ferrazzano's Compensation and Employment practice, will participate as speakers at Bank Director's 2011 Bank Executive & Board Compensation Conference in Chicago on November 8-9, 2011.
Don Norman will participate in a panel discussion on Risk-Weighted Compensation Plans directed at publicly-traded community banks. The discussion will focus on short- and long-term performance metrics and incentives that support strategic goals and meet regulatory and shareholder requirements.
Andrew Strimaitis will co-present, "What Does Dodd-Frank Mean for Institutions Under $500 Million in Assets." Although the Dodd-Frank specifically targets large banking institutions, even the smallest community banks will be affected. Find out how to prepare your institution for the required operations and regulatory changes.
Don Norman will square off against compensation consultants in a "Point/Counterpoint" session to debate hot compensation topics and the merits of various compensation strategies. Attendees will vote for the winning argument.
Finally, Andrew Strimaitis will participate in a panel discussion entitled, "Evaluating CEO Pay - What Is Right for Your Size Institution?" for publicly-traded community banks. The discussion will focus on elements of CEO pay -- base salary, bonuses, long-term incentives and non-cash compensation benefits -- and how to determine what is appropriate for your size institution. It will also discuss methods to establish a peer group to evaluate your CEO's pay structure and level against other banking organizations.
