BFKN Partners John M. Geiringer and Andrew K. Strimaitis will speak at the Illinois Bankers Association Bank Directors' Conference on September 13, 2011.
John Geiringer will moderate "The Director's Role from a Supervisory Perspective," a panel discussion of bank regulators from the FDIC, Federal Reserve, OCC, and Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. This discussion will explore the supervisory obligations of directors with respect to bank performance, senior management, risk management, strategic planning, regulatory compliance, and troubled bank scenarios.
John will also present "Emerging Issues in Director Liability," an examination of director liability issues in today's heightened regulatory climate, with an emphasis on enforcement actions, D&O insurance, FDIC lawsuits, and strategies for mitigating potential liability.
Andrew Strimaitis will present "The New Era of Executive Compensation," an overview of the most recent changes to executive compensation regulations in the wake of the Dodd-Frank Act, TARP, and "troubled condition" requirements.
