2nd Annual Fashion & Design Law Symposium

Barack Ferrazzano's IP Group Chair Wendi Sloane will be a panelist on The Fashion Law Society's 2nd Annual Fashion & Design Law Symposium, on the topic "Complying with Labor Laws and Right of Publicity Statutes." This discussion will include current and potential laws protecting young models, interns, and the right of publicity.

The Fashion Law Society (FLS) is the first fashion law society in the Midwest, created with the goal to bring attention to current fashion trademark and copyright legal issues in the fashion industry. The first Fashion & Design Law Symposium was held in April 2013. The symposium targeted students, attorneys, and fashion designers from all over the region. The event consisted of a series of panels comprised of attorneys and designers from around the nation. The panels discussed and presented various topics about the fashion law industry. With over 100 attendees, the 2013 Symposium was a success and led to the beginning of a tradition.
