Richard S. Nikchevich

Rich is a member of the firm's real estate practice group. His practice covers a range of complex commercial real estate transactions and dispute resolution matters, including (i) the purchase and sale of major office buildings; (ii) the portfolio disposition of hundreds of retail facilities; (iii) build-to-suit matters involving the leasing and development of data centers, switching centers, customer call centers, warehouse facilities and office facilities; (iv) joint venture arrangements; (v) the development of several hundred communication facilities throughout the country; and (vi) hearings involving contested zoning matters, as well as disputes between private parties.

Rich's practice also has a finance and workout focus. In that capacity, he has represented a number of banks, insurance companies, REITs, opportunity funds, governmental entities and other clients in mortgage loan and mezzanine financing transactions. Rich also has extensive experience handling complex restructuring matters, including deed-in-lieu transactions and other workouts involving hotels, office buildings, senior living facilities and mixed-use projects. He has also represented a number of parties in the purchase and sale of distressed debt.
