David concentrates his practice on structuring, negotiating, documenting and implementing a variety of complex transactions, including secured and unsecured financing, loan work-outs, real estate acquisition and development and corporate mergers and acquisitions. His practice also encompasses planning for business separations and the formation of successor businesses, particularly in the context of attorneys leaving law firms to begin independent practices. Although David left litigation practice early in his career, he continues to be involved in the formulation and evaluation of litigation strategy and legal theories and, especially, in settlements of litigation.
