Michael concentrates his practice on commercial real estate. He acts as primary leasing counsel for a broad range of clients, including real estate investment trusts and private equity investors. His practice involves all aspects of real estate law, including acquisitions, dispositions, development and financing.
Representative Matters
- DCT Industrial Trust
Serves as outside counsel to DCT Industrial Trust in connection with its real estate acquisitions and dispositions, developments, financings, construction matters and leasing transactions.
- Real Estate Loan Restructurings
Represented numerous financial institutions in connection with the restructuring of, or litigation regarding, real estate loans secured by mortgages on properties throughout the United States with an outstanding indebtedness substantially in excess of $1 billion in the aggregate
- Seagis Property Group Financing
Acted as primary counsel in the negotiation and documentation of loan facilities and debt assumptions on behalf of a private real estate fund as well as providing regular advice and counsel for investment and operational activities.
