Brett concentrates his practice on commercial real estate transactions and general corporate matters.  Brett's real estate practice contains significant involvement with publicly traded real estate investment trusts (REITs) and institutional lenders.  His practice places particular emphasis on the acquisition, development and disposition of industrial and office buildings, sale-leaseback transactions, tax-free exchanges, build-to-suit projects, leasing of commercial and industrial projects and the formation of joint ventures.

  • Sonova Holding AG Projects

    Counsel with respect to the U.S. operations of Sonova Holding AG, an international provider of hearing instruments. Represent the client in various areas of the law, including corporate, litigation and employment matters.

  • First Industrial Sale of Portfolio Properties

    Represented First Industrial Realty Trust in the sale of a 6.2 million square foot 36-building national portfolio of industrial properties.

  • First Industrial Southern California Expansion

    Represented First Industrial in the acquisition of 1800 acres of vacant land in southern California. In addition, negotiated and documented construction contracts, development agreements and management agreements with respect to the development of the land.

  • Real Estate Loan Workouts

    Represent various financial institutions with respect to strategizing, negotiating and documenting the restructuring of troubled real estate loans.
