Barack Ferrazzano is pleased to announce the newest additions to our growing Real Estate Group, and welcomes associates Kelsey D. Shulan and Edward M. Thiele to the Firm. Including the addition of Robert F. Cameron in January, the Real Estate Group has added three talented attorneys this year, continuing its strategic expansion.
Kelsey's experience includes a broad range of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, mortgage and mezzanine financing, and property developments. She received her J.D., from the University of Michigan Law School and a B.B.A., with high distinction, from the University of Michigan Stephen M. Ross School of Business. During law school, she served as an extern for the Federal Trade Commission Midwest Regional Office. Prior to joining the Firm, Kelsey was an associate in the real estate group of Polsinelli PC, assisting clients in the preparation and negotiation of purchase and sale agreements, closing documents for acquisitions and dispositions, and property management agreements, reviewing title and survey documents, and navigating land use issues and documentation.
Eddie's experience includes negotiating mortgages and drafting related real estate documents in connection with secured credit agreements, drafting asset purchase agreements and performing real estate due diligence in connection with mergers and acquisitions, and advising clients on a broad range of corporate law issues, including those related to business formation and structuring. He received his J.D. from the University of California Berkeley School of Law and his B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles. Prior to joining the Firm, Eddie was a real estate and corporate associate with Proskauer Rose LLP in Los Angeles, focusing on a wide range of real estate and corporate law matters, including financing, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, SEC compliance, public securities offerings, and business formation and structuring matters.
