Barack Ferrazzano Congratulates Sharon Calhoun, Matthew Jackson & Brandon Prosansky

Barack Ferrazzano is pleased to announce three of our attorneys have become partners in the Firm:

Sharon E. Calhoun combines her skill and experience as a trial attorney with her knowledge of intellectual property law to actively assist clients in identifying, protecting, valuing, and preserving their intellectual property assets in the United States. Sharon litigates a wide variety of intellectual property cases across the country including trademark infringement, unfair competition, domain name issues, and copyright infringement. In addition to her experience with intellectual property litigation, Sharon also has experience in handling the intellectual property aspects of corporate transactions. Her litigation practice focuses primarily on complex commercial litigation for a variety of domestic and international clients in disputes involving general contract matters, class action defense, banking and enforcement issues, employment disputes, and consumer fraud, among others. Sharon also has an active pro bono practice and has served as a guardian ad litem for children involved in domestic disputes related to guardianship and parental rights. Sharon is the chair of the Firm's Diversity Committee as well as an active member of the Pro Bono and Recruiting committees. Sharon has been recognized as an Illinois Rising Star by Super Lawyers since 2010.

Matthew A. Jackson represents both domestic and international public and private companies in various industry sectors, including energy, insurance, luxury goods, manufacturing, real estate investment trusts (REITs), transportation and technology. His work spans a wide variety of corporate, securities and real estate matters, such as: strategic transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, dispositions and joint ventures; capital raising and financing transactions, including public offerings, private equity transactions and debt financings; securities law compliance and disclosure matters, including reporting under the Securities Exchange Act; international business transactions; and general corporate counsel, including contract negotiations, licensing agreements, corporate governance, employment issues and general business planning matters. Matt was named an Illinois Rising Star by Super Lawyers in 2014.

Brandon C. Prosansky practices in the area of commercial civil litigation, focusing on representing motor vehicle manufacturers in franchise-related disputes and counseling them with respect to matters concerning their dealer networks. He also represents a variety of companies and banks in commercial disputes involving: general contract matters; commercial leasing and other property matters; distributorships; professional liability; fiduciary duties; and mortgage foreclosure and mechanics liens. In addition, he enjoys providing pro bono representation to refugees seeking asylum in the United States. Brandon is an active member of the Firm's Business Development and Recruiting committees, and currently serves as the President of the Young Leadership Division of the Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago. Brandon has been recognized as an Illinois Rising Star by Super Lawyers since 2013.
