Shermin Kruse on Fox 32 News for Women's Equality Day
Barack Ferrazzano Partner Shermin Kruse was a guest on Fox 32 News in honor of Women's Equality Day. Started in 1971, August 26th commemorates the 1920 passage of the 19th amendment to the Constitution, granting women the right to vote. During the interview, Kruse touches on the importance and meaning of Women's Equality Day and the continuing struggle for women's rights throughout the world, including the state of women's equality in Iran. A passionate advocate for women's issues, Kruse credits her professional and personal success to her family and network of support.
In July 2014, Kruse was named to Chicago Woman magazine's list of "100 Women of Inspiration." She is an avid writer and a contributor for The Huffington Post and served as a columnist for Chicago Lawyer magazine for many years, advising attorneys on achieving a balance between success in the law firm and their personal lives.
Kruse's first novel Butterfly Stitching is a story about the struggles of two Iranian women, loosely based on her childhood and family's experience living in and emigrating from Iran. It was published in May 2014 and is now available on Amazon.
