Legal Secretary - Commercial Litigation
Available: Immediately
Essential Job Functions:
- Coordinate practice area needs for 3 supervisors
- Maintain and manage client files and records
- Handle time entry, billing and calendar management and coordination
- Word processing and basic drafting of correspondence
- Moderate client interaction, including answering phones, receiving clients and coordinating meetings and conferences
- Make travel arrangements
- Other duties as may be assigned to fully meet requirements of the position
Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years experience as a legal secretary with background in commercial litigation practice
- Experience with processing court filings, including electronic filings
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook, including:
- Cross-referencing
- Generating tables of authorities
- Generating tables of contents
- Use of styles
- Working within tables (creating and manipulating)
- Able to multi-task and remain highly organized
- Able to prioritize and communicate efficiently
- Team oriented
- Punctual and able to meet deadlines
- Available for moderate overtime on an as-needed basis
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of iManage and DeltaView a plus
